Short Description : The Jackstädt Center is a collaborative research and transfer initiative jointly run by Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) and Flensburg University of Applied Sciences since 2011. Our research focuses on entrepreneurship, small business management, and innovation, with cross-cutting themes of transformation, digitalization, sustainability, and diversity. We see ourselves as a bridge between academia and practice, advancing both theoretical and applied research in close collaboration with regional and international partners. Many of our projects involve cooperation with local companies and institutions, often in co-creative settings that include students, researchers, and practitioners. The center provides a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and welcomes guest researchers at all career stages, including PhD candidates and early-career scholars, as well as students seeking to connect their theses with practical research contexts. We also offer access to a broad network of business partners and institutions through our regional network. The Center contributes to knowledge transfer, regional development, and sustainable innovation, and it is open to hosting EMERGE Fellows interested in the interplay between entrepreneurship, transformation, and societal change. A key part of our mission is the fostering of regional entrepreneurship ecosystems, strengthening cooperation between academia, business, and society.
