Short Description : • Translation, adaptation, and validation of instruments useful for individuals with eating disorders in the Greek language. • Implementation of the latest research-informed interventions for individuals with eating disorders. For example, research over the last two years has shown that enhancing positive body image (e.g., body appreciation, embodiment, functionality appreciation, mindfulness, and intuitive eating) is highly effective in the treatment of eating disorders. We have developed group interventions & workshops for this specific purpose that could be run at your center. • Provide staff training to raise awareness of how they can support the psychological wellbeing of their patients. This would be specific to enhancing positive body image (e.g., enhancing positive body image in patients). • Identification of risk & protective factors that may differ due to culture/country specifics. • Prospective studies (e.g., Orthorexia before, during, and after). • Embodiment-related factors to incorporate into scientific evidence in therapy. • Specific trainings in therapies to enrich current therapists on body image and eating disorders (e.g., ACT).
