Collaboration Short Description:
This project aims to model individual mobility behaviours by analysing the number of people using different transport modes (walking, cycling, car, public transport) over time.
The modelling framework incorporates random environmental factors such as fuel price variations, weather conditions or external constraints, in order to study how these elements influence mobility choices.
The objective is to understand how stochastic environmental effects shape collective transport behaviours and to quantify their impact through mathematical and statistical models. A central goal of the project is to investigate whether such models can help identify levers for encouraging more sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility practices.
The project is conceived as open and interdisciplinary. Collaborations with researchers from other fields — such as urban planning, geography, social sciences or environmental studies — are particularly welcome, in order to enrich the modelling approach with complementary perspectives on mobility patterns, urban structure and behavioural dynamics.
