Collaboration Short Description:
I am currently looking for participants for both projects:
• For VieLMigra*, I am seeking LGBTIQ* individuals with migration backgrounds or BIPoC-LGBTIQ* who are willing to share their personal educational biographies in a confidential one-on-one interview.
• For Queer@School, I am inviting teachers from all school forms and levels who are open to discussing their experiences with addressing queer and LGBTIQ* topics in educational settings.
Interviews can be conducted online or in person at a location of your choice. Creating a safe, respectful, and confidential environment is a top priority. All data will be handled in strict accordance with data protection regulations.
Project Overview
Currently, I am conducting two interrelated research projects:
• „VieLMigra: LGBTIQ* BIPoC and People with Migration Backgrounds – Gendered and Racialized Experiences in Plural Societies” explores the intersectional educational biographies of LGBTIQ* individuals with migration backgrounds. The project reconstructs their educational trajectories with a particular focus on experiences of heteronormativity and racism within educational institutions.
• „Queer@School“ examines how teachers across various school types and grade levels engage with queer and LGBTIQ* lives in their classrooms. It aims to identify the conditions, challenges, and opportunities related to gender and sexual diversity in everyday school practice.
Both projects are situated at the intersection of gender inequality, public participation, and educational justice. They seek to strengthen critical perspectives on marginalization and contribute to more inclusive pedagogical approaches.
