WP2: Community Engagement and Services

WP2 underscores EMERGE’s commitment to placing community engagement and societal outreach at the core of its identity, positioning it as the primary mission.

Objectives

  • Promote community engagement within EMERGE alliance.
  • Establish structures supporting partnerships between the territory and EMERGE alliance.
  • Actively contribute towards a strong and positive societal impact with inbuilt quality assurance and evaluation mechanisms across EMERGE territories.
  • Take advantage of strong community engagement practices from partner institutions to scale them at the level of the alliance.

Tasks

  1. Support and embed a dynamic community-engagement culture within the EMERGE Alliance at every level.
  2. Set up partnerships between academia and community for knowledge co-creation.
  3. Community-engaged learning.
  4. Community-engaged research.

WP2 is lead by Matej Bel University (UMB).
